Cross the Country

Day 1 - The First Run

Date: Wednesday February 23rd

Time: 11:51PM EST

Location: Fairfax VA

Our first day on the road has come to a close. It really sucked to say goodbye to everyone and everything that I have been around for the last handful of years. I feel especially bad about leaving Boots since He hasn’t been without me in a super long time. We left around 11:20am and arrived at our final resting place at around 7:30pm, only really stopping a few times. We had lunch in Philadelphia which was lovely. I have never been there and I really enjoyed the brief time we had in the city, at least the southern part we went to. The city reminded me a lot of Worcester MA but with even more narrow streets. I saw a bird inside of a car, that was pretty neat.

The drive itself was good, Deniz took the whole day’s drive and Ill be taking the drive to our next location on Sunday and probably some general drive about stuff between now and then. We had a pretty spectacular sunset which I will post in the gallery.

Upon arriving in Fairfax we were greeted by family, the Nejako’s, or at least most of them. Last time I saw them was the 4th of July in Webster MA, though I talk with Abby pretty much everyday. It was great to spend time so much time chatting with them, its been too long.

Tomorrow I need to go buy a pillow. I forgot mine. Then we are going to backtrack slightly to visit some of the areas Im interested in living in due to their proximity to Bethesda Game Studios and Zenimax Online Studios. Our brief drive through Bethesda has me very excited, even in darkness the area looks great. We are then going to head further north again through Baltimore to take a gag photo of Deniz infront of his old school. Then in the evening, the final elusive Nejako will be joining us, Frannie and Andy. Tomorrow we will figure out what we want to see in Washington when we visit on Friday.

Have a good night, Signing off

-H
