Day 9 & 10 - Stimulus
DATE: friday MARCH 4th
TIME: 1:10AM EST
LOCATION: Gatlinburg tn
I neglected to make a day 9 entry since we literally just drove to Gatlinburg then I napped and relaxed for the rest of the day. So not much to say there. Today we had a lovely day, our first major hike. We got up and out around noon time and went to breakfast at Crocket’s Breakfast Camp in Gatlinburg. I originally ordered 3 pancakes and the guy looked at me funny and asked if it was my first time. I later came to realize what he was talking about. These pancakes put the cake into the word. Seriously, these things were as thick as a 3 stack you can get in CT. And the were absolutely delicious. I also had my first actual southern biscuits which were amazing.
After breakfast we headed into the Smokeys and took a nice 2.6 mile hike. We took the Laurel Falls trail to see the water fall at the end. Around a 420ft elevation change. The waterfall was absolutely beautiful. We spent a good 40 min just relaxing at its base. Deniz got all the way in, see the gallery for those fun photos. I think it was a good place to start out hiking adventure, it was a good climb. After our decent we headed back to work on our future plans and relax. The rest of the day was spent chilling in the room, watching tv, and some light exploring. I did like Gatlinburg, but it found it to be a bit overwhelming. Kind of stimulus overload, so much going on. Definitely worth coming to visit though. Tomorrow we are headed to Nashville! And we are going to tour the Jack Daniel’s Distillery. Lots of fun!
Thats all for now, stay safe
